A man has been convicted of killing his fiancée, 21-year-old Lauren Griffiths, at their flat in Cathays, Cardiff. Lauren’s body was found at a flat in Glynrhondda Street at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, April 30 2019. Madog Llewellyn Rowlands, 23, from Wrexham, denied murder but following a unanimous decision by the jury at Newport Crown Court today he has been found guilty of murder. LEADING Welsh transport provider Adventure Travel is asking passengers and colleagues to nominate a local good cause to become its inaugural ‘Charity of the Year’ and with it, its own dedicated bus throughout 2021. A 24-year-old Cardiff Metropolitan University graduate has set up a business to help connect athletic students with sporting opportunities at universities. Tim Parker’s app, Sportfolio, will allow prospective students to see what sports programmes different universities across the country offer alongside their degree courses. Today, the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA) Wales have released their manifesto for the forthcoming election, explaining that only when the private rented sector (PRS) is regarded as part of the solution to the housing crisis can landlords and tenants prosper. The representative body has six key calls for parties standing in the 2021 Welsh Parliament elections: streamline licensing; support landlords and tenants; improve homes; introduce a Welsh Housing Survey; improve justice for landlords and tenants; and, rejecting rent controls and Right-to-Rent.
