Officers investigating a collision between a bus and a bridge in Swansea in which one person died and a number were injured have charged a man. The collision happened in Neath Road, Swansea on 12 December 2019. Jessica Jing Ren who was a passenger on the double decker bus died in hospital from injuries sustained as a result of the collision. Eric Vice, aged 64, of Duvant has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He is due to appear before Swansea Magistrates court on 23 December.

Denbighshire County Council is reminding residents of changes to traffic enforcement on Bodfor Street and Queen Street in Rhyl. Work is underway on an 18-month trial of town centre improvements after Denbighshire County Council was successful in its bid for Welsh Government funding. Two Fine Art graduates from University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) Swansea College of Art have won places on the Artists Benevolent Fund’s Step Change Fellowship Programme. A leading South Wales-based floodlighting and electrical installation and maintenance organisation has won a competitive contract to install Cardiff’s Christmas lights. Pontyclun company Floodlighting and Electrical has been awarded the contract by Cardiff Council to install the city’s Christmas lights for the next four years. More than 9,000 trees have been planted in and around Llanidloes thanks to one man’s effort to bring the community together to fight climate change. Phil Stallard – who has previously won awards for his campaign work within the community – has guided a collaboration of more than 70 local landowners, resulting in thousands of new trees planted, and the formation of a community orchard.
