RECORD breaking deals of almost £500,000 were secured at a high-profile two-day trade expo led by a growing food distribution firm. The Harlech Foodservice Food and Drink Expo 2020, now in its 42nd year, welcomed almost 2,000 visitors to the event in Venue Cymru, Llandudno which saw around 165 UK-wide suppliers showcase their produce. The FAW Trust reports that a record 8,600 women and girls are now signed up to football clubs in Wales. The announcement comes as the FAW Trust is gearing up to expand its Huddle programme. Following the announcement that SA Brains & Co Ltd plans to sell off 40 of its pubs, CAMRA is seeking reassurances from Brains on what this means for staff and their local communities. South East Wales’ largest independent accountancy firm is urging all medium and large businesses to take notice of planned reforms to the way contractors are taxed under a system known as IR35, or ‘off payroll’ working rules, from 6 April 2020.
