TV presenters Matt Johnson and Fiona Phillips have visited remote parts of Wales to walk The Cambrian Way – a 298-mile route stretching the length of the country – and learnt how dedicated volunteers are making sure the trail is clearly indicated for all to enjoy.  Matt and Fiona, who are ambassadors for People’s Postcode Lottery, were with walking and wellbeing charity the Ramblers fixing way markers to posts along the route to help guide walkers. Cardiff Metropolitan University celebrated student success at its November graduation ceremonies yesterday (Monday, November 25), honouring the achievements of nearly 1,000 primarily Masters students.   Two ceremonies held at Cardiff City Hall saw students from Cardiff Schools of Art & Design, Management, Sport & Health Sciences and Technologies receive their degrees from the University’s President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Cara Aitchison. They were witnessed by proud families and friends as well as staff, academics and dignitaries including the Chair of the Board of Governors, Professor Ilora Baroness Finlay of Llandaff. A Cardiff-based vehicle retailer has been acquired by a national business as it looks to create 20 jobs across Wales within the next six months.  EVS Vehicles, based on Penarth Road in Cardiff, has been acquired for an undisclosed sum by Inter Vehicle Group (IVG), with the business rebranding under the IVG banner. Diabetes UK Cymru has won a prestigious award at the inaugural Welsh Charity Awards, organised by WCVA to honour excellence in the third sector in Wales. The charity was named as the winner of the ‘Change Makers Award’ at a  prestigious ceremony at the National Museum in Cardiff. Outline planning permission has been secured for the comprehensive mixed-use redevelopment of Milford Waterfront, Milford Haven. The 26,266 sq m development, by the Port of Milford Haven, will include commercial, leisure, retail and fishing industry floorspace, and is set to create 611 jobs once complete. Planning permission was secured by planning and development consultancy Turley. The proposal includes up to 190 new residential properties, high quality leisure provisions and up to 70 marina berths, alongside new public spaces.
