The man who died following a collision on Christmas Day has been named as Darran Peter Fellowes. The collision happened at approximately 5pm on the northbound carriageway of the A465 near to the Aberdulais junction. A black Toyota Aygo collided with a red VW Beetle and Mr Fellowes, 48, from Skewen. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the father-of-two died at the scene. Mr Fellowes is survived by his mother Alma, mother-in-law Marilyn, sister Jacqueline, his wife Donna and their children Thomas and Jack. Hundreds of shoppers queued from the early hours of the morning for the annual Boxing Day sale. The Next store in Cardiff is popular with shoppers, with the retailer offering at least 50% off sales items in store and online. Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland, one of the city’s most popular winter events has today announced plans for it’s hugely anticipated New Year’s Eve celebrations – which attractions thousands of visitors each year. A world class orchestra brought the magic of Christmas alive for care home residents in Wrexham with a moving Yule Tide concert. The talented trio from the Hallé performed a string of Christmas jingles and carols as part of an enrichment partnership with the Pendine Park care organisation. A 21-year-old fashion graduate from Bridgend, who displayed her collection at London Fashion Week, has launched a clothing label aiming to make runway fashion accessible. Laura-Shannon Harding has spent the last few months showing her clothing collection at fashion shows across the country and is now launching her own fashion label, Laura-Shannon.
