Earlier in the academic year, Christ College Brecon’s Deputy Head Simon Hill addressed pupils in an assembly about research on phone addiction. A Hackney Carriage taxi driver, Abdul Rehman from Clydach Street in Grangetown, Cardiff, was ordered to pay just under £1000 last Thursday (January 17th) for three offences at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court. Firstly, for failing to use the meter, secondly for charging more that the authorised fare and lastly for failing to display his drivers’ badge. Although the defendant was of previous good character, the Magistrates didn’t find Rehman a ‘credible witness’ and he was found guilty of all three charges. A team of first year learners from the Horticulture course at Coleg Cambria’s Northop site are working with Wrexham Symphony Orchestra (WSO) to transform the space at Wrexham Maelor Hospital Adult Mental Health Unit. Brexit uncertainty is taking its toll on the Welsh construction sector, with workloads flatlining in the final quarter of 2018, according to figures from the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Construction & Infrastructure Market Survey.
