Dozens of pupils from eight Carmarthenshire schools will soon be taking part in a 3D printed model car race. Participating pupils have 3D printed, assembled and painted their school cars ahead of the race as part of a Swansea University College of Engineering project, which was initiated at Ysgol Gynradd Nantgaredig. Each model car is based on a design first developed by Daniel Norée, an award-winning Swedish 3D designer. Presenter James Naughtie is due to talk with Welsh author Owen Sheers, who will answer audience questions about his novel, I Saw A Man. Three men have received football banning orders following an incident at the Cardiff City Stadium. Lee Thomas, from Pentre, was given a five-year banning order after admitting assault at the Cardiff City v Manchester United game on December 22, 2018. Gareth Walters, from Ely, and Royston Davies, from Llanrumney, were given three-year banning orders for the same incident. Following their convictions, the men were also ordered to complete unpaid work and pay compensation. NORTH WALES will be among the UK regions to benefit from a new digital programme aimed at improving connectivity in the public sector. Around 120 children from 6 special schools competed in The Lady Taverners inter-school sports day at the National Indoor Athletics Centre in Cyncoed. Heronbridge, Meadowbank, Ty Gwyn, Riverbank, Ysgol y Deri and The Hollies competed in sports from wheelchair races, long jump, table tennis, skittles and egg and spoon races. The event finished a relay race and a lap of honour with all the children taking part. Face painting was kindly provided by Acorns Nurseries. When it comes to network security, most organisations still rely on the perimeter-centric strategy. Anything inside the secured perimeter is considered to be safe by default, and only outsiders are untrusted. So anyone with valid credentials can access such a network.
