Car parking charges at Penarth Cliff Walk, Cold Knap and Bron-y-Mor in Barry are to be suspended until the Spring 2026. The charges were introduced in September as part of the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s wider car parking strategy. A report is now being presented to the Council’s Cabinet on 04 December recommending these be suspended temporarily. Work to transform the lodge building at Tredegar Park into a café has got underway. Initial work will see repairs made to the main lodge building, both inside and outside. Work inside the building will include installing new access points, installing heating and electrical systems in line with the council’s zero-carbon goals, and creating office space on the upper floors for park staff.
