Colourful banners have been designed by school children to publicise how Bridgend County Borough Council’s new camera car will target dangerous parking outside schools. Cardiff will host the National Eisteddfod from Friday, August 3 – Saturday, August 11. To facilitate the event, road closures will be put in place from 6am on Saturday, July 28until 6am on Thursday, August 16. These include Harbour Drive; Britannia Quay; Bute Place; Pierhead Street; Lloyd George Avenue and The Flourish. Swansea-based employees at ERS, the UK’s largest specialist motor insurer, have done their bit to keep the Wales Air Ambulance flying, having raised over £7000 for the charity so far. The company’s Swansea office selected the Wales Air Ambulance as their nominated charity two years ago with colleagues at its offices in London raising money for the London Air Ambulance, creating a shared sense of purpose in supporting these vital services.
