A popular, award-winning Mid Wales visitor attraction is to be feature on a popular television series later this month. Corris Caverns, on the fringe of the Eryri National Park at Corris, near Machynlleth, recently welcomed the film crew from the ITV Wales series ‘Coast and Country’. Filming took place underground in the King Arthur’s Labyrinth and Corris Mine Explorers attractions, as well as above ground in Welsh Legends Maze. A North Wales bakery worker and his friends have completed one of the toughest motoring challenges on the planet. George Loftus, 27, a senior development technologist at the Jones Village Bakery in Wrexham,  teamed up with pals Tom Suter, Jon Fowell and Hua Ying Baker to take on the mammoth 7,450-mile Mongol Rally. The British Business Bank’s fifth annual Nations and Regions Tracker, published today, finds that equity investment activity has risen in Wales – bucking national trends, although overall equity deal values fell. However, usage of external finance amongst smaller businesses in Wales fell in 2024 following a sharp rise in 2023. Wales-wide, a cautious approach still dominates, with a third of smaller businesses thinking it would be difficult to secure it.
