A record number of entries have been submitted for the 2017 South Wales Chamber of Commerce Welsh Business Awards, with more companies than ever before making the final shortlist. Entries were up by 19% on previous years and 45 companies have been shortlisted across 10 categories, with businesses coming from Cardiff, Carmarthen and Crickhowell, among others, making the final cut. THE Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) Cabinet today (January 15) agreed to support in principle the £180million re-development of Cardiff’s main transport hub with £40m of City Deal funding. The proposed Metro Central project will deliver a new Central Transport Interchange at the heart of Cardiff’s city centre Core Employment Zone.
