Newtown Textile Museum is opening earlier than usual this year to combine with Wonderwool Wales, the wool and natural fibre festival, at the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells on April 26-27. A man from Swansea has been jailed after attempting to supply crack cocaine. 29-year-old Jack Arran, from Morriston, was arrested on January 31, 2025, having been found in possession of the Class A drugs cocaine and crack cocaine. A mobile phone in Arran’s possession was later found to be linked to a drug line which was already under investigation. On March 3, he pleaded guilty to possession and possession with intent to supply Class A substances, and also to acquiring criminal property. He has been sentenced to 40 months in prison.
