Rhondda Cynon Taf Council has confirmed that cheaper bus travel will return for the Easter holidays, with single journeys capped at £1.50 for two weeks. The subsidised fares will run from Saturday, March 28, to Sunday, April 12, 2026, and will apply across all bus operators for journeys that start and end within the Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough boundary. A 29-year-old man has been issued with a five-year Football Banning Order for disorder-related offences prior to a recent Wrexham AFC match. A man from Neath Port Talbot has been jailed after he knocked down and killed a former Neath Port Talbot Council leader while under the influence of drugs. 22-year-old Zack Mason, from Sandfields, struck 85-year-old Thomas Crowley – known as Noel – with his vehicle as Crowley crossed Port Talbot’s Water Street on December 7, 2024.
