A Shetland Pony who was found with severely overgrown hooves will now be rehomed, following a court prosecution. The RSPCA attended a field in Efail Isaf near Church Village back in March of this year where Shetland Pony Fergus was found with hooves that were beginning to curl due to being so overgrown. A Carmarthenshire man, who spent nearly a year living in the woods after a no-fault eviction, is now settled in his own home and volunteering at a local food bank, following support from homelessness charity, The Wallich. A well-known South Wales valleys pub with an interesting reputation has new owners after it was sold at auction. The Wyndham Arms at 55, Glebeland Street, in the town of Merthyr Tydfil was sold by South Wales-based Paul Fosh Auctions. The substantial end of parade property, listed with a guide price of £138,000, sold for £149,000. Five organisations in Wales have received The King’s Award for Voluntary Service – the highest accolade a voluntary group can receive in the UK, equivalent to an MBE. The award honours groups transforming lives through mental health support, youth services, environmental projects and community initiatives. Dyfed Powys Police have issued an appeal for information following the death of 21 year old Corinna Baker, who was found at Netpool Boat Yard in Cardigan on Saturday November 15. A 21-year-old man from Flintshire has been issued with a Football Banning Order for his involvement in matchday disorder. Paul Evans, of Parc Alun, Mold, appeared at Lincolnshire Magistrates’ Court on 11 November. At court, he admitted to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on Lincoln High Street. The incident occurred at Wrexham AFC’s League One away match against Lincoln City on 3 May 2025. South Wales Police have issued an update after a man was stabbed while running in Llandaff Fields earlier this month. The incident happened at around 5.30am on Monday November 10, when a 55 year old man was attacked in the park. He was taken to hospital but his injuries were not life threatening and he was released later the same day. Officers believe two males dressed in dark clothing and wearing balaclavas were involved.
