The Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10K and 2K have sold out for the second year running, with record numbers set to take part in one of the town’s biggest annual sporting events.

Organisers have confirmed that 2,500 runners will line up for the 10K, alongside a further 1,200 participants in the 2K race, when the event returns on Sunday 10 May 2026.

The continued sell-out success highlights the growing popularity of the event, which has become a firm fixture in the local running calendar, attracting participants from across the region.

This year’s 10K will feature a newly designed route, introduced following feedback from runners. The updated course includes reduced elevation, making it faster and more accessible, while keeping the popular town centre start and finish on Crescent Road.

Alongside the main race, the 2K event will once again welcome families and younger runners, helping to create the inclusive and community atmosphere that has become a key part of the day.

With large crowds expected, temporary road closures will be in place across parts of Caerphilly town centre and surrounding areas on the morning of the event. Residents and visitors are being advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys.

The event is expected to bring a busy and vibrant atmosphere to the town, as thousands gather to take part and support runners throughout the day.
