Colliers International has today announced a leadership succession plan for its South West and South Wales region.

Tim Davies has decided to step down from his role as Head of the South West and South Wales, effective from 1st January 2020, and will be succeeded by Jo Edwards who will assume overall leadership responsibility for the region, driving the strategic direction and growth of this important part of Colliers’ business in the UK.

“Tim has grown our team in the South West and South Wales to more than 50 people, doubling turnover to make Bristol one of our most successful regional offices,” said Tony Horrell, CEO of Colliers International UK and  Ireland.

“I would personally like to thank him for his expert leadership and exceptional commitment to client service throughout his career with us. I have no doubt he’ll be every bit as successful pursuing his new interests as he has been at Colliers. Whilst he will be much missed, Tim will still be in contact as one of the ventures he will be focusing on will be a property investment business with Colliers’ alumni Steve Lipfriend.”

Tim Davies joined Colliers following the acquisition of Lipfriend Dawson in 2001 and took on the leadership role in Bristol seven years ago.

As well as driving significant growth in the business, he has spearheaded Colliers’ Bristol TRYathlon which is now in its seventh year, demonstrating his commitment to do what’s right for clients, people and communities. Tim will now focus on building his property investment firm and keep busy with various sporting endeavours including running his racehorse business.

Jo Edwards will succeed Tim Davies as Head of the South West and South Wales. She joined Colliers from JLL just over a year ago bringing with her over 20 years of extensive experience managing property of all sectors for both private and institutional clients such as Canada Life, L&G and Aberdeen Standard.

“Strategic succession planning is a high priority for Colliers to ensure constancy for its people and its clients and I know that Jo will continue to take the region from strength to strength,” said Tony Horrell.

“She will continue to lead our already successful investment property management team in Bristol, as well as becoming the figurehead of the office and driving business development across the South West region.”
