    Council appeal after ‘large amount’ of equipment is stolen from Abercarn depot

    The incident happened at in the night of June 20 early hours of 21 June 24 at the Caerphilly Council depot in Abercarn.

    Gardening and workshop equipment worth thousands of pounds including blowers, chainsaws, hedge cutters and strimmers, were taken alongside a pint of milk from the fridge.

    The BT wires were cut from a telegraph pole disabling the on-site cameras.

    The council have managed to minimise impacts on service delivery by sourcing replacement machinery and equipment.

    Gwent Police and Caerphilly CBC are asking the public to be vigilant and keep an eye out for the stolen equipment.

    Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, quoting the crime reference number is: 2400195823.
