    Dragon Taxis in the Vale to support Tŷ Hafan

    Wales’ leading private hire firm Dragon Taxis has announced that its latest charity campaign will support TŷHafan, the Welsh children’s hospice.

    From 1 October, 5p from every journey in the Vale of Glamorgan booked via the Dragon Taxis app will be donated to the charity.

    Tŷ Hafan provides care and support for children with life-shortening conditions and their families at its hospice in Sully and in homes and communities across Wales.

    Dragon Taxis, a regional brand of the UK’s fastest-growing taxi and private hire technology platform Veezu,is a long-term supporter of the charity, having donated over £5000 in 2021 through a similar scheme.

    Sally Krouma, Hyperlocal Marketing Manager for Dragon Taxis, said: “We’re so pleased to be able to support Tŷ Hafan again this year, after the resounding success of our fundraising efforts two years ago. Local causes are very important to us at Dragon Taxis, and the work that Tŷ Hafan does in our communities is incredibly admiral. We hope to surpass our previous figure and raise some much-needed funds for this fantastic charity.”

    Kelly Dibble, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Tŷ Hafan, said: “We are once again hugely grateful to the team at Dragon Taxis for their supportive campaign this year; their donation will really make a difference. No family should have to face the unimaginable loss of their child alone. The funds raised will help Tŷ Hafan to provide specialist care and support, offering a lifeline throughout the child’s short life, at end of life, through bereavement and beyond.​”
