A health & safety specialist in Neath has unveiled a series of positive announcements including new hires, a new office and a rebrand as it celebrates its fifth anniversary.
CoreGenic, a specialist health & safety and environmental consultancy and training company, is celebrating its fifth year in business by launching a new website and announcing three new hires amid rapid growth and expansion plans.
The three new hires span business development, accounts and construction. The company enjoyed rapid growth in 2021 as companies sought assistance in dealing with the complex workplace challenges of managing the risk of COVID-19. Now, with the help of the new recruits, its aim is to double its turnover again in 2022.
Laura Wheeler, who previously worked for Imtech Waste Water & Energy, will focus on managing commercial contracts and accounts. Karen Todd, formerly of Thrive Group Wales, will drive business development and the firm’s growth strategy. James Coughlan joins as a site supervisor in the construction side of the business.
CoreGenic was launched in 2017 by Cherie Coughlan, its Managing Director, and soon recruited Chris Coughlan, its Operations Manager, who drives its construction arm. Its consultancy and training arm helps clients manage their health & safety and environmental responsibilities; its construction arm provides project and site management services to agricultural, commercial, industrial, environmental and civil construction developments.
In addition to the new hires, the company has made a significant investment in re-branding. It launched a new website in 2022, and will be introducing an integrated booking form and calendar function in the future to cope with the volume of enquiries. CoreGenic has also moved to an alternative headquarters in Neath Abbey, taking additional space to accommodate the new staff.
The company’s recent additional growth has been driven by many companies and their directors seeking specialist advice around how to handle COVID protocols and legislation. This has complemented the growth the company was already experiencing as more companies sought professional advice around increasingly complex regulations around health & safety and environmental standards.
CoreGenic has placed itself at the forefront of health and safety services and COVID risk management and education. Its resources can be used at short notice for both planned and implemented as spot inspections if needed.
