Local employers and organisations will be available for residents in Maesteg for an upcoming jobs fair this month.

The free event, which will be in Maesteg Rugby Club, is being held between 10am – 1pm on Friday June 17.

It has been organised by Jobcentre Plus and Employability Bridgend will be in attendance at the event to offer advice and support on a range of work, training and volunteering opportunities.

Some of the employers taking part will include Citizens Advice, Aldi, Power Up, Talgarth Bakery and Fieldbay as well as Domino’s Pizza, Elite Security, Henshed Maesteg and Wepa. A range of temporary and permanent vacancies will be available to apply for on the day.

There are also a wide range of jobs available in the local authority and information of these and other vacancies will be available from the Employability Bridgend team.

Jobs fairs have always proved to be very popular with job-seekers and employers across Bridgend County Borough.

I am delighted that the local authority will be in attendance at this upcoming jobs fair in Maesteg.

The fair is an excellent opportunity to gain important information and support on volunteering and training opportunities for residents based in Maesteg.

Councillor Neelo Farr, Cabinet Member for Regeneration
