Indie rockers the Kaiser Chiefs will headline a Saturday night set at Cardiff Castle this summer.

    Kaiser Chiefs

Formed in Leeds back in 2000, Kaiser Chiefs released their debut album ‘Employment’ in 2005, and it immediately cemented the band as a standout on the British indie music scene.

They have been storming the charts ever since, with successes including ‘Ruby’ and ‘I Predict a Riot’. In 2006 they won three Brit Awards for Best British Group, Best British Live Act, and Best British Live Act.

On Saturday 11th July, they will play the Welsh capital as part of Cardiff’s one day, family-friendly music festival, DEPOT in the Castle.

DEPOT in the Castle is organised and run by DEPOT Live, the live-events arm of the DEPOT brand. Last year, it brought Nile Rodgers & Chic to the city centre on a Friday evening, which was followed by the DEPOT in the Castle festival on the Saturday. In total, 13,000 people were fed, watered and entertained at the castle over a single weekend.

In addition to this, a separate event is being held on Friday 10th July in Cardiff Castle, where the the Foals are set to perform. This is a separate event to Saturday’s all-day music festival. Tickets went on sale in October last year.

    How to get tickets

General tickets go on sale January 28th at 9am here.
