A closure notice has been served on The Castle Hotel, Lampeter by Ceredigion County Council’s Public Protection Officers due to non-compliance with the Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (No. 4) (Wales) Regulations 2020.

Officers found that the premises failed to take all reasonable measures to ensure that a distance of 2 metres is maintained between any persons on the premises, and not observing to the restrictions on gatherings of persons not of the same household meeting no more than 4 people, as specified under Regulation 6. The business also failed to limit close face to face interaction between people and maintain hygiene practices, which includes failing to change the layout of the premise, control the use of seating, control and limit the use of passages, toilets and entrances, and collect valid contact information, among other reasons.

The notice will take effect immediately on Monday, 16 November 2020, and remain until 30 November 2020.
