Mark Pittaccio, a renowned consultant, commentator and speaker on the subject of behavioural economics, will be visiting Wales on the 13thSeptember to talk to businesses at the LinkedInLocal Swansea networking event.

Behavioural economics is a blend of psychology and economics that seeks to understand the decision-making behind everyday consumer choices. The answer to questions such as; why we choose one brand over another, why we pay more for a ‘premium’ product and how much we save from our salaries can all be answered by applying behavioural economics.

Mark Pittaccio works with some of the UK largest companies, but his message to businesses of all types and sizes is a compelling one:

“Behavioural economics is about understanding your potential clients and customers, it can be used by businesses to attract and retain more of the ‘right type of client’, helping them to run more profitably, grow sustainably and build a business of real value with a great future.”

Mark will be speaking to around 40 businesses at The Hyst in Swansea on the 13thSeptember at 5pm. The LinkedInLocal Swansea event also features a networking hour, drinks and light refreshments. Event co-host Jon Curtis is looking forward to the event.

“We were extremely lucky to secure Mark Pittaccio to talk at our event, he regularly appears as a keynote speaker at major industry events, so this is a real coup for LinkedInLocal. Mark has a wealth of knowledge to impart and it should be of real benefit to our audience.”

The September LinkedInLocal event will be the third held in Swansea after its launch in May. LinkedInLocal Swansea takes a social approach to business networking.

The events have a fun and informal edge and welcome businesses of all kinds. Particularly popular with SME businesses, the events are attracting a number of first time networkers.
