Lush has long been known for its bold, fragrant, and ethically-made products, and now, they’re shaking up the skincare world with a brand-new range of ‘fresh’ skincare, crafted from over 16 different fruits and vegetables. The collection is entirely preservative-free and formulated to nourish, protect, and revitalise your skin’s natural barrier using ingredients you could easily imagine in your weekly shop.

From vitamin-rich turnips to skin-softening avocado and brightening parsley, the range is a celebration of the brand’s belief that fresh is best when it comes to skincare. Each product is designed to be playful yet purposeful, packed with natural goodness to target everything from dryness and dullness to sun-kissed sensitivity and tired eyes.

To get a better understanding of the new range, we headed to Lush Cardiff, where skincare expert Liam walked us through the collection and created a bespoke five-step routine tailored to my skin’s needs. Here’s how it went…

We popped into Lush Cardiff to explore their newly launched ‘fresh’ skincare range, a playful yet effective collection powered by fresh fruits and vegetables.

The very knowledgeable Liam, created a bespoke 5 step skincare routine for me:

Step 1 – Ultrabland to pre-cleanse, prime and pre the skin, a great make-up remover as well

Step 2 – Let the Good Times Roll gently exfoliates the skin

Step 3 – Full of Grace is a naked facial serum that stays on the skin

Step 4 – Turmeric Face Mask with a cucumber eye mask

    Step 5 – enzymion moisturiser

The new range of 8 face masks, 6 eye pads, 5 cleansers and 2 facial scrubs is entirely free from preservatives, to help nourish and protect the skin’s natural barrier, and contains over 16 different varieties of responsibly sourced fruits and vegetables that each have their own natural skincare benefits.

From skin-softening avocado to firming and brightening parsley, vitamin-rich turnips and cleansing figs and apples – the range is an homage to Lush’s mantra when it comes to skincare – that fresh ingredients are best.

The range contains innovations designed to treat specific concerns, including Mrs Whippy face mask to soothe sunkissed skin, Biomic cleanser to brighten and smooth congestion, and Dragon Clouds eye pads to soothe and calm tired eyes.

The new fresh skincare range is available now in Lush shops, online and via the Lush app.

    Face masks

    Mrs Whippy face mask (£12)

A raspberry ripple ice cream-inspired mask, featuring softening coconut yoghurt, astringent raspberries, moisturising banana, calming calamine (ideal for sun-kissed skin) and comforting vanilla pod infusion – just like ice cream!

    Mineralise Me face mask (£12)

Feed your face with this reviving, mineral rich, skincare salad of toothed wrack seaweed, skin softening avocado, red oakleaf lettuce, sea salt and lime juice. Lush’s cleansing and softening sea salt is hand-harvested in Dorset using both ancient and contemporary production methods, working closely with leading environmental health and marine organisations to safeguard human and animal health and support marine economies.

Love and Kindness face mask (£12)

Give skin a bouquet of soothing, fragrant roses and show it how much you care, with rose oil, rose absolute and fresh rose petals! A collaborative effort between Pakistani farmers, a Turkish rose grower and Lush, rose absolute is produced from Damask roses grown in Pakistan without pesticides, thanks to permaculture techniques. Also contains gently brightening pomegranate seeds, moisturising and soothing almond oil and calming hawthorn and calamine powders.

    Cleansers

    Koji Paste fresh cleanser (£12.50)

This simple and effective formula is gently exfoliating and softening. Ground almonds roll across the skin, and when they blend with water, create a soothing almond milk to wash with. Koji paste, a key ingredient in sake production, is known for giving the people working in sake factories beautiful hands!

    Blueberry Roly Poly cleanser (£12.50)

A pretty punnet for a happy, soothed complexion. Antioxidant-rich organic blueberries help achieve a gorgeous glow, while their high tannin content gives them clarifying qualities. Creamy and soothing coconut yoghurt and fresh aloe gel leave skin feeling soft, while calming calamine powder helps absorb any excess oil from the skin.

    Eye pads

    Scuba Diver eye pads (£6)

Dive into relaxation with soothing fresh aloe gel, carrageenan extract and glycerine which are cooling and great for reducing the appearance of puffiness around the eyes.

    Dragon Clouds eye pads (£3.50)

Hydrating organic rice milk soothes and calms – particularly good as the skin around the eye is thinner and more delicate, so can be more sensitive. These eye pads are designed to go under the eye.

    Banana Split eye pads (£3.50)

Made with soothing fresh aloe gel and banana skin infusion (like a banana skin tea!)

    Facial scrubs

Maple Sugar facial scrub cube (£12.50)

Humectant maple sugar, Canadian maple syrup and hydrating maple butter are blended with organic Fair Trade cocoa butter to add smoothness, and ground almonds to gently exfoliate while almond milk soothes.

Sugared Plum facial scrub cube (£12.50)

Ground almonds, golden caster sugar and bamboo stem extract create optimum buffing conditions with three different sizes of scrub. The sweet, slightly tart fragrance comes from the Umeboshi plums – a fresh, fruity and slightly acidic pickled plum that cleanses the skin deeply, leaving it soft and promoting a radiant complexion. The cleansing ingredients are balanced with soothing fresh aloe gel and moisturising organic Fair Trade cocoa butter.

Lush’s new fresh skincare range is available now in Lush shops, online and via the Lush app.
