The principle member of the ‘Omari’ drug line has been jailed.
Amara Harris, 22, took orders for crack cocaine and heroin and met with his customers to hand over drugs, who he targeted with bulk messages between April, 2024 and July, 2024.
Forensic phone data analysis led officers to a shop in Pontcanna, Cardiff, where Amara topped up his phone on June 14. Officers sourced CCTV footage of the event and identified Harris as the man topping up the device.
The CCTV footage also captured him pulling up outside the shop in a black Audi – despite him not having a driving licence.

Officers took their opportunity on July 16, when they made arrest enquiries at a house in Bedford Street, Roath.
Amara Harris was inside, along with the device linked to the drug line, digital scales and thousands of pounds in cash.
He was arrested, charged, and went on to plead guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, and driving without a license and insurance.
On Monday, January 27, Harris was jailed at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court for 41 months.
Amara Harris was one of 25 people arrested throughout July (2024) by the Cardiff and Vale Organised Crime Team. During the crackdown, a quarter of a kilogram of crack cocaine and £17,000 in cash was seized. A Total of 21 drugs lines were also put out of business.
