New business expo set to shine Spotlight on Newport

A new business expo coming to Newport is attracting exhibitors from both sides of the Severn.

The city’s first Business Growth Expo is bringing together established and growing firms from south Wales and the south west of England, ahead of an expected trade boost with the abolition of the bridge tolls later in the year.

Hundreds of visitors from south Wales, Bristol and Gloucester are expected to attend the Business Growth Expo, which is run in partnership with Spotlight Newport and takes place at the Coldra Court Hotel on Friday, September 28.

The expo will showcase more than 50 businesses, with only one stand per category in order to ‘lock out’ competitors, making it an ideal opportunity for any business currently planning its next phase of growth.

The event also includes a ticket-only networking breakfast, as well as a motivational opening seminar by a keynote speaker and eight insight seminars by industry experts. Exhibitors can choose from a tiered package, including access to marketing and PR support in the run-up to the event, a refreshment package on the day and an advertisement in the event brochure.

Organiser Kate Lloyd, who runs Spotlight Newport with husband Julian, says:

“Spotlight Newport is delighted to be hosting the Business Growth Expo for the business community in Newport and the surrounding areas. With the tolls on the Severn Bridge set to be abolished later in the year, we feel it’s more important than ever to showcase to everyone what businesses in south Wales have to offer.

“Expos are an excellent way of meeting potential clients, telling them all about your business and what you provide. We find that people buy into another person’s passion, and an informal chat about why you set up your business and why you love what you do so much often leads to greater things!”

The Business Growth Expo is ideal for start-ups and established brands from all sectors. Stands cost from £150, which includes a ticket to the networking breakfast. For more details and to book your place at the Newport event, contact Kate on 07908 353 029 or email [email protected].
