Caerphilly County Borough Council is asking members of the local community to give their views on proposals to develop affordable homes on an unused site in the Risca area.

Caerphilly Homes, the Council’s housing division, is proposing to redevelop the former library and community centre site at Brookland Road, Pontymister into up to 23 affordable energy efficient homes across a mix of apartments, houses and later living properties.

The plans also include public green spaces, landscaping, sustainable drainage, and car parking for residents.

These plans will breathe new life into the presently vacant site, whilst helping to meet ever increasing need for affordable housing in the borough.

Members of Caerphilly Homes and their design team will be on hand to discuss the proposals on Wednesday 26th March, from 2 – 6pm at Risca Library.
