North Wales Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following a police pursuit involving a motorcycle in Anglesey.

The incident happened on Wednesday, 19 March, when an officer on an unmarked police motorcycle attempted to stop a green Kawasaki motorbike carrying a male rider and a female pillion passenger.

The motorcycle failed to stop, leading to a pursuit between 3.44pm and 4pm. The route included the A4080 entering Llanfaelog and continuing into Rhosneigr.

Officers are now asking anyone who may have seen the motorcycle, particularly those travelling along the A5 through Bryngwran towards Treban Crossroads, as well as between Engedi and Rhosneigr, to come forward.

PC Philip Owen of the Roads Crime Unit said: “There were several drivers who witnessed the pursuit and I am keen for them to come forward.

“I am particularly interested to speak to the driver of a Green Dacia that was travelling through Bryngwran towards Treban at 3.37pm, the driver of a blue Ford Puma leaving Rhosneigr towards Llanfeulog at 3.45pm and the driver of a Porsche Cayman S.

“If you believe you are the owner of one of the above vehicles please get in touch with police.

“Additionally, I am also appealing for anybody who has dashcam of the motorcycle prior to or during the pursuit to contact us”

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact North Wales Police via their website or by calling 101, quoting reference 26000222882.
