Officers in Barry are trying to trace a woman in the Southerndown area after a call of concern from a member of the public.
Thought to be in her 50s, the woman was seen on Southerndown Beach last night, Saturday 30th September, around 10.30pm. It’s believed she then walked up Beach Road towards the Golden Cups pub.
She is described as white, around 5ft 6, of medium build with short brown hair. She was last seen wearing a dark green cardigan and light blue jeans.
Police Sergeant Alex Jones said: “A member of the public called police to report concern for this woman who was near the edge of the sea, however enquiries so far have been unable to trace her.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around 10.30pm last night who noticed her, or anything else of significance, to please get in touch.
“I would also urge the woman concerned to come forward and speak to officers to let us know she is ok.”
