Principality appoints Annelie Grey as its head of financial reporting

Principality Building Society has appointed Annelie Grey as its head of financial reporting.

Annelie’s responsibilities include producing the Society’s mid-year and annual financial statements, and reports to the regulators.  She joins Principality after spending the past three years as head of accounting policy for Nationwide and before that was an audit director for Deloitte.

    Annelie said:

“I’m from Cardiff originally and can still remember going to open my first savings account in the Whitchurch branch of Principality as a child. I’ve been lucky enough to have a varied career that has enabled me to travel all over the world, but I always hoped I would have the opportunity to work for a business with strong values and a clear purpose that has its roots in Wales. For me, Principality ticks all of the boxes.

“Principality has a strong track record of supporting the financial skills development of young people in our local communities. I’m looking forward to the chance to get involved in this important initiative and hopefully pass on some of the skills and experience I’ve been fortunate enough to learn through my own career to date.”

Steve Hughes, Chief Executive of Principality Building Society said: “Annelie comes with a great reputation and we are delighted to have such a talented colleague on board.  We are recruiting high calibre, experienced people to help us move the Society forward for our Members as we continue to focus on growing our core business of mortgages and savings.”
