Principality Building Society has received two prestigious national awards for Best Regional Building Society and Corporate Social Responsibility, by the Mortgage Finance Gazette.

The Society was awarded the Best Regional Building Society title for their product offering, which was based upon their interest rates and fees on a range of loan-to-value mortgages. Principality was awarded the most points based on the competitive rankings for their products, which was calculated for each provider across each mortgage type.

The Society’s commitment to supporting communities in Wales through financial education initiatives was also recognised through the Corporate Social Responsibility –Lender award. Since 2016, Wales’ largest building society has reached over 20,000 students with financial education and careers based activity. Through their partnership with the London Institute of Banking and Finance, over 1,100 students have also gained LIBF qualifications in financial education, which are the equivalent to a GCSE.

Julie-Ann Haines, Chief Customer Officer, Principality Building Society:

“We’re delighted to have been recognised for the stand out mortgage products we provide to our customers, as well as our commitment to responsible business practice. Our purpose as a Society is to help people to prosper in the homes and communities they live in and both of these awards are testament to the hard work and dedication of our colleagues.”
