For the third year running, Principality has been named as the Best Building Society for Customer Service by the What Mortgage Awards.

Wales’ largest building society received the award after a 21-week voting campaign by What Mortgage, which allowed customers to rank each building society in the UK.

Mike Jones, Interim CEO at Principality Building Society, said:

“We are delighted to have received this award for the third year in a row, particularly as it is voted for by our Members and customers. As a mutual building society, the Members and communities we support are the beating heart of our business.

“This award is a fantastic recognition of all of the hard work our dedicated colleagues have put in to provide great, consistent customer service. We know our Members need our support more than ever now, and as a mutual with over 160 years’ experience, we are committed providing the right service they need during these difficult times.”

Bronwen Swain from south Wales was supported by Principality when she bought her first home. She said: ‘’Principality were so helpful – if we had any questions about our mortgage application and the process, they’d email back as soon as possible. I felt like I was their first priority. We knew we wanted to come to Principality to support a Welsh building society. I wouldn’t have changed a thing.’’

Daniel Miller, Group Publisher at What Mortgage, said: “The What Mortgage Awards are voted for by the general public which means this award reflects the service Principality Building Society provides to its customers and is testament to the hard work it puts into supporting the community.”
