The Silver Mountain Experience near Aberystwyth is promising sack-loads of fun things to do in the run up to Christmas.

Trips into an Elves’ Workshop and Santa’s Grotto, a chance to give Santa your Christmas wishes, festive cookie decorating, Christmas crafts and a Christmas Reindeer Trail await visitors on December 14, 15, 21, 22 and 23.

The Silver Mountain Experience, located at Llywernog Silver-Lead Mine, Ponterwyd, will be open from 10am-4pm, with the last entry at 3pm.

The ever popular ‘A Dragon’s Tale’ and ‘A Miner’s Life’ tours will also be running alongside Santa’s Grotto and visitors will have access to all the surface attractions and fascinating mining museum.

Festive treats, including indulgent flavoured hot chocolates and scrumptious mince pies, will be waiting for customers in the café beside a toasty, warm fire and the gift shop will have unique presents on offer, ranging from dragons and children’s toys to salt tealights and minerals.

Tickets may be pre-booked on www.silvermountainexperience.co.uk. School and group bookings are welcome, with more information available by emailing [email protected].

The Silver Mountain Experience will be open throughout the winter – closed Mondays except for December 23 – and visitors can now tackle new Escape Rooms.

Ultimate Xscape Aberystwyth, which is part of the popular attraction, features Room 13 and Spellbound, two themed and immersive escape experiences, where customers have 60 minutes to solve clues and escape.
