    South Wales accountants continue to grow with team expansion

    Growth continues for Wales’ largest independently owned accountants, UHY Hacker Young, as it welcomes 11 new professionals to support the expansion of the firm’s leading audit, tax and business services teams.

    The appointments ensure UHY Hacker Young’s continued ability to provide new and longstanding clients with the industry leading services they expect, while also allowing the practice to further its work to support the development of the next generation of talent entering the industry.

    The accountant’s commitment to develop a sustainable pipeline of likeminded professionals who share UHY Hacker Young’s belief in transparent, ethical business, has provided seven new trainee placements for those in the early stages of their accountancy careers.

    Many of the new members of the UHY Hacker Young team will bolster company’s well-respected audit and assurance department. Business Services Manager, Alex Weaterton and bookkeeper, Kate Panesar, will be based at the firm’s Newport head office. They are joined by new trainees Megan Davies, Shaun Edwards, Megan Lawton, Olivia Griffiths, Thomas Evans and Megan Poulson. Fellow audit and assurance trainee, Jack Jones, will join UHY Hacker Young’s team in Abergavenny.

    The practises Newport-based tax team will also be boosted with the appointment of trainee accountant, Joe Cotterill. However, the first new face seen by those visiting the accountant’s HQ is likely to be receptionist, Nicole Lane.
