The Rhymney Valley Athletics Club Mini Quad Event, held at the CCBC Athletics Hub in Oakdale, saw an enthusiastic turnout with 48 young athletes, ranging from children under the age of 7 to school year 6, participating in a variety of athletic activities. The event featured running, jumping, throwing, and an endurance challenge, providing a comprehensive athletic experience for all participants.
All athletes received outstanding performance awards, nominated by our young leaders who coached the participants throughout the event. These awards recognised the exceptional efforts and sportsmanship displayed by everyone involved.
Rhymney Valley Athletics Club Chair, Deb Howells, expressed her delight: “We are incredibly proud of all the young athletes who took part. Their dedication and enthusiasm were truly inspiring. This event highlighted the importance of youth engagement in athletics and the fantastic opportunities available at our club.”
