Swansea sleuths will help detectives crack a puzzling and treacherous case when a live mystery game unfolds live in the City Centre.

The one day event – The Mystery of the Star Eaters – will see participants pick up a series of clues, dispersed at secret locations throughout the City Centre, question real life witnesses, and attempt to solve a head-scratcher that is continuing to outfox the local constabulary.

Swansea BID is pleased to sponsor this lively event, which is open to all ages and is organised by Casebook Events.

Amelia Rudman, Events Manager at Swansea BID, said:

“We are looking forward to hosting this exciting event in the heart of the City Centre and we expect it to draw a crowd. It will be a fun happening, leading participants through the City Centre, in hot pursuit of a puzzling mystery – and of course, this offers the perfect opportunity to explore the city itself and to enjoy its great food and drink offer.

“It is clear that our high streets and town centres are evolving and visitors are looking for out of the ordinary experiences and events to sit alongside quality retail and hospitality, to entice them. Here in Swansea we are responding to this need by offering more and more experience based happenings such as this one, as well as welcoming businesses like Breakout Live, The Golf Studio, SimRace One, and venues like the Bucket List, Cinema & Co, The Hyst, Tinos and many others, which offer events in the heart of the City Centre.”

The Mystery of The Star Eaters will offer prizes for the best dressed team, the fastest detectives, and the top family, and players will be able to collect their case files at any time in the morning from 10am-12pm and begin their adventure by following the clues wherever they may lead.

The game will take approximately two to three hours to play, with recommended team sizes of two to six, and with players free to complete it at any time until 4pm.

A trail sheet will be provided for four to eight year-olds, so they can play along. And a Smartphone or tablet is necessary, so players have Internet access and the ability to watch videos.
