One of Pembrokeshire’s best-known family attractions has changed hands after more than three decades, with The Dinosaur Park near Tenby being sold to new owners as its founders retire.
Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced the sale of The Dinosaur Park to Magic Entertainment Partners, marking a new chapter for the popular visitor attraction which has welcomed generations of families since opening in 1994.
Established by Simon and Amanda Meyrick, the attraction has grown into one of Wales’ leading family destinations, attracting more than 60,000 visitors each year.

Located just 2.5 miles from Tenby, the park features 36 rides and attractions alongside more than 90 dinosaurs. Visitors can explore a woodland trail and walking safari featuring animatronic dinosaurs, while two roaming robotic dinosaurs introduced in 2025 have become a popular addition to the visitor experience.
The attraction also offers a range of indoor facilities, including soft and hard play areas, a family activity house, virtual reality experiences, cafés, takeaway outlets, a covered dining area and gift shop.
Its popularity was recognised earlier this year when it received TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award for 2025. The park also hosts educational school visits throughout the year, supporting National Curriculum learning about dinosaurs.

Magic Entertainment Partners, the new owners, have pledged to build on the attraction’s success while investing in its future growth.
They commented, “We were attracted by the strength of the business, the quality of the attraction, and the opportunity to build on an already successful foundation. Our goal is to invest in the guest experience, introduce new attractions over time, and continue establishing The Dinosaur Park as one of the leading family attractions in Wales.
“We are delighted that Barry Clegg MBE will be joining the business as General Manager, bringing significant experience from the UK attractions industry. Most importantly, we want to build on the legacy that Simon and Amanda have created and ensure the park continues to thrive for future generations.”
After more than 30 years running the attraction, Simon and Amanda said the time had come to step away and enjoy retirement.
They said, “We have become the dinosaurs, so it is time for us to hang our boots up. We hope we have given many families days out to remember over the years.”
Dave Morris, Regional Director – Retail & Leisure at Christie & Co, said the attraction generated strong interest from potential buyers.
“It’s not every day we get a call to sell a Dinosaur Park, but once there, we realised what a fantastic visitor attraction Amanda and Simon had created.
“It is such a beautiful part of Wales and a great business, and we were confident that it would attract a buyer. The team at Magic Entertainment Partners were the successful buyers and have a background in amusement parks in the UK, America and Spain. They hope to further develop the park and attractions to take it to the next level.”
Funding for the acquisition was sourced through Christie Finance and provided by the Development Bank of Wales.
Ashley Clements, Associate Director at Christie Finance, said: “It was a pleasure to support the buyer by sourcing funding for this acquisition. I am confident they will be excellent successors to the incumbent owners and wish them every success in this venture.”
The sale brings to an end more than three decades of ownership by Simon and Amanda, while paving the way for further investment in one of Pembrokeshire’s most popular family attractions.
