The UK’s best boutique adventure and wellbeing  festival returns next month, 3 – 6 June, to Lawrenny Castle Estate in Pembrokeshire, Wales.

The Big Retreat Festival 2022 will have headline performances from ninety-noughties bands Reef, Toploader, and Fun Lovin’ Criminals front man Huey Morgan. Plus appearances from nineties fitness legend Mr Motivator, former model and Total Wipeout presenter Amanda Byram, and Vikings actor and wellness practitioner Maude Hirst.

Away from the Main Stage, the Festival will have seven sites to explore, full of adventure, discoveries, inspiration, and relaxation. The full programme of events is now available on the website, and here’s a taste of what a day at The Big Retreat could look like.

Wake up on the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast with an invigorating breathwork with Anna Gough in the Soul Space, or get out and explore with a Foraging Walk leaving from the aptly named Darwin’s Den.

Relax mid-morning with some art and crafts, where you could Print Your Own Tote Bag or Build a Bird House; or get back out there and dip your two into the water with a wild swimming session guided by We Swim Wild, or don your leg warmers and get physical with fitness legend Mr Motivator.

Visit the bustling Energy Field Festival Hub for lunch from The Honest Supper or The Little Peppercorn; or grab a chilled lunch from Cwlbox and head over to the Chef’s Kitchen for a demo from the Dirty Vegan, Matt Pritchard, or a workshop with one of Wales’ best gin distilleries.

Get ready to sweat in the afternoon over in the Energy Field with the latest fitness and dance classes, from Zumba to Fitsteps; Nordic Walking to a HIIT Workout with Personal Trainer Kate Rowe-ham. Stretch your mind with an inspiring discussion in the Talk Tent, or work on your mental health with some Laughter Yoga in the Feelgood Tent.

Gather round the Fire Pit in the evening to hear tales from some of Britain’s bravest adventurers and be inspired to have your own; from rowing across the Atlantic, to travelling round the world on a bicycle. Before heading to the Main Stage to close the night with one of The Big Retreats headline acts, or retire early to the peace and quiet of one of the UK’s protected Dark Sky regions to get ready do it all again tomorrow!

There’s something for everyone at The Big Retreat, with as much or as little to do as you want to create your perfect Feel Good weekend.

The full programme is available to download now from The Big Retreat Festival website.
