Merthyr Tydfil Town Centre will be alive with festive cheer on Saturday 16th November as We Love Merthyr in partnership with the Council and St. Tydfil Shopping Centre kicks off the countdown to Christmas in style.

The Christmas Family Fun Day promises to be a day of enchantment, with fun, festive street entertainers, real reindeer, fairground rides, festive face painting, a giant snow globe – and even an Elf School – in the town centre from 11am to 6pm.

This year you can also capture the magic with a unique photo opportunity with Inka, the animatronic polar bear, and her cubs.

Of course, no festive fun day would be complete without a visit to Santa’s Grotto, which you’ll find in St Tydfil Shopping Centre.

From 5pm Capital FM’s Josh and Kally will be in Penderyn Square, keeping you entertained ready for the official light switch on at 5:45pm.

You can even take advantage of FREE parking in the town centre pay and display car parks.
