Only a limited number of tickets remain for Halloween Nights at St Fagans National Museum of History, with families being urged to book quickly to avoid missing out.
The after-dark event will bring a night of spooky family entertainment to the museum, with ghostly characters, Welsh folklore, creepy crafts, ancient traditions and the burning of the Wicker Man.
Visitors will be challenged to make their way around the museum to discover a host of ghostly guests inspired by some of the weirdest pages of Welsh folklore.
Each night will culminate in the burning of the Wicker Man, celebrating the transition from summer to winter as visitors make a wish while the sparks fly.
Families will also be able to take part in drop-in workshops, including creepy crafts, building spells using ancient natural magic and making their own mini wicker men.
Visitors can discover eerie Welsh superstitions, spooky stories and age-old Winter’s Eve traditions throughout the evening.
For those looking for a bigger scare, there will be an immersive spooky scare run featuring scare actors and loud noises. Actors will tailor the level of scare for each child, while families who would prefer not to take part can avoid the designated area entirely.
Children and adults are also being encouraged to dress up in their best creepy costumes before heading to the Haunted House disco.
Visitors can learn more about the Wicker Man at the Cockpit and create a miniature version to burn during the finale.
Food and drink will be available from a street food area and the museum’s food and drink outlets, while visitors are advised to bring cash if they want to enjoy the Traditional Fairground and Makers Market.
The event and activities are recommended for children aged five and over, although younger children can attend at the discretion of their parents or guardians. Infants under two can attend with a free infant ticket but will not be able to participate in craft activities.
All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and spaces are limited. With only a limited number now remaining, families hoping to attend are being encouraged to book as soon as possible.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for another date or event.
Free parking after 4.30pm is included in the ticket price, although parking at St Fagans is very limited and visitors are encouraged to car share where possible.
