South Wales Police is continuing its investigation into the fatal road traffic collision which occurred on Penarth Road at its junction with Clare Road, Grangetown, on Wednesday (March 25, 2026) at 12.27pm.

The family of Miracle Oladoyinbo, the 16-year-old boy who died when the bike he was riding collided with a SsangYong Tivoli, have paid the following tribute to him:

“Miracle Oladoyinbo was a beacon of joy and compassion, a 16-year-old whose life was defined by a profound love for God and an unwavering commitment to his faith. A gifted musician, he didn’t just play music; he used his talents as a ministry to uplift spirits and bring comfort to everyone around him.

To know Miracle was to be touched by his warmth and inspired by his grace. While his life was tragically cut short, the melody of his kind heart and the strength of his testimony will resonate forever in the hearts of the family and community who loved him so dearly.”

Roads policing officers who are investigating the incident continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

They are urging anyone travelling through the area at the time to check dashcams and private CCTV for relevant footage.
