The first phase of repair work to the pictured wall at Salem Terrace, Llwynypia, will start next week.

The masonry wall requires essential work, which will take place over two weeks from Monday, March 25.The work has been scheduled during the school Easter holiday to minimise disruption, and will be completed by April 5.

All minor vegetation will be removed, while the wall will be reconstructed at the steps section and its adjacent area. The remaining face of the wall will be repointed, while the copings will be reset.

In order to safely complete the work, a single lane closure and a footway closure will be used along a 30-metre section of Salem Terrace. Temporary traffic lights will be used for this. Access to the houses within the work area will be maintained at all times.

RCT Council has appointed Calibre Contracting Ltd to deliver the scheme, which is funded via the Highways Capital Programme.
