Award winning Cardiff based law firm, Capital Law, which last year celebrated its tenth birthday, has enjoyed a record breaking twelve months, employing over 30 new members of staff since last spring.
Established in 2006, Capital provides integrated legal and consultancy services to sectors including education, energy, retail, social housing and the public sector.
The new recruits, over twenty of which are lawyers, have largely been recruited within the Commercial Disputes, Commercial Property, Employment, and Corporate teams, all of which continue to experience significant growth.
In addition to developing lawyers from the south Wales legal community, key appointments from London and Bristol, returning to south Wales include Angelina Drjaca-Chandler, who joins the Corporate team as Senior Associate, Liz Gibbons who joins the Commercial Property team as a Senior Associate, and Gareth Williams-Davies, who joins the Corporate team as an Associate.
Additionally, the firm has bolstered its Board with the appointment of private equity specialist and Non-Executive Director, David Williams. Previously, David was a senior partner at Dunedin Capital, and before that at Graphite Capital. David has sat on a number of boards over the years as an investor. His understanding of how companies work will be invaluable to the Capital businesses as they tailor what they do to accurately suit clients.
And seven new team members have joined the firm’s IT, Marketing, HR and Finance teams to develop further the central support functions, including Geraint Peach, previously an IT apprentice, who joined on placement from Cardiff and Vale College, and has now been recruited as a full-time IT Engineer.
In addition to the litany of new recruits, Capital has also announced a series of promotions. Construction, Energy and Projects specialist Stuart Pearson is now a Senior Associate, and Chris Lewis and Alex Christen are now Associates in the Banking and Finance and Employment teams respectively.
