Caerphilly County is getting ready for the most wonderful time of the year with Winter Food and Craft Markets popping up throughout the Borough.

Taking place in Bargoed, Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly and Blackwood the Winter Food and Craft Markets will include everything you need for a festive day out. Each market will host between 20 and 50 food and craft stalls, a selection of children’s funfair rides along with a jam packed programme of top quality street theatre entertainment.

Offering the perfect opportunity for visitors to shop locally, each participating town centre has a selection of independent stores with some quirky gift ideas; there are also a number of high street stores and some great eating out venues.

Cllr. Eluned Stenner, Cabinet Member for Performance, Economy and Enterprise said “We are very excited to be bringing Winter Food and Craft Markets to four of the town centres in Caerphilly County Borough. After a challenging 18 months there has never been a more important time to support your local high street. These businesses are at the heart of our high streets and we should support them as much as we can this Christmas.”

The events will take place between 9am and 5pm on:

    • Saturday 20th November – Lowry Plaza, Hanbury Square and Hanbury Road, Bargoed
    • Saturday 27th November – Bedwlwyn Road and Oakfield Street, Ystrad Mynach
    • Saturday 4th December – Cardiff Road, Twyn Road, Castle and Twyn Car Park, Caerphilly
    • Saturday 11th December – High Street, Blackwood
