The New Saints are delighted to announce the signing of striker Aramide Oteh, as the club bolsters its attacking options.

The 25-year-old London born striker moves to Park Hall having most recently played for EFL League Two side Walsall. Oteh brings a wealth of experience to TNS having made over 150 appearances across the EFL, including in the Championship for Queens Park Rangers.

Elsewhere, Oteh has featured for the likes of Salford City, Stevenage and Crawley Town, scoring goals at all levels of the English football pyramid.

The Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate provides Craig Harrison with another attacking option following the recent departure of Brad Young for a Welsh record transfer fee to Saudi Arabian side Al-Orobah.

The club’s newest recruit will be hoping to hit the ground running and could make his debut in tomorrow’s JD Cymru Premier fixture at home to Barry Town United.

Speaking on the signing of Aramide Oteh, The New Saints’ Head Coach, Craig Harrison, said:

“After losing Brad Young, we knew we needed a bit more strength in depth in the forward area. Declan McManus is still a couple of weeks away from returning, and while Jordan Williams and Adam Wilson have done a great job leading the line, we knew we needed to bring a centre forward in.

“Aramide has played at a really good level and has a really good pedigree having scored a lot of goals both at youth level and within men’s football.

“It’s a really good signing for us as he’s still only 25 – it adds a lot more pace, power and goals to the squad.”

The New Saints Chairman, Mike Harris, said:

“This is a fantastic signing for the club, Aramide joins with lots of pedigree at playing at an exceptionally high level in England, with an impressive record throughout his career. We’re committed to bringing the best possible talent to the JD Cymru Premier and know that he will have a big impact on our success moving forwards.

“We are all excited with the squad we’ve been able to build which will allow us to compete on all fronts throughout the season as we look to continue to make history.”

    New signing, Aramide Oteh, added:

“I am excited to get started at The New Saints, the club has always been really successful and I can’t wait to hopefully score plenty of goals to help the team continue to lead the way. The boys have made a great start to the season, so it’s a great time to be joining the group.”
