Newbridge-based contract electronics specialist, Axiom Manufacturing Services has raised vital funds for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, following the success of its charity golf day.
Held on the National Course at The Vale Resort, the event brought together customers, suppliers and industry partners from across the UK for a day of friendly competition, networking and fundraising in support of a charity that provides welfare and wellbeing support to serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need.
The event raised £3,500 to help members of the Armed Forces community overcome challenges and navigate life in and beyond the military. The money raised will stay within the South Wales area, helping military personnel, ex-service members and their families.
Jenny King, Head of Corporate Engagement at SSAFA, said:
“We would like to thank Axiom Manufacturing Services and everyone who supported its charity golf day. The funds raised are a fantastic achievement and will help us provide vital support.”
“Partnerships with companies like Axiom play an important role in supporting our work. A huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated and helped make the day such a success. Together, we can help ensure no one in our Armed Forces family has to battle alone.”
A specialist electronics manufacturer, Axiom works with customers across the aerospace, defence, medical and industrial sectors. The golf day forms part of the manufacturer’s ongoing commitment to supporting charities and communities connected to the industries it serves.
Chris Nye, Managing Director of Axiom Manufacturing Services, said:
“At Axiom, we’re privileged to support critical industries, including defence, and we recognise the dedication and sacrifice made by those who serve in our Armed Forces. Supporting SSAFA through our golf day is our way of giving something back to a charity that provides invaluable help to serving personnel, veterans and their families when they need it most.
“I’d like to thank everyone who joined us on the day and contributed so generously. Thanks to the support we’ve received from our customers, suppliers and partners, together we’ve been able to make a meaningful contribution to an outstanding cause.”
