Santa’s Toy Mine returns to Rhondda Heritage Park Museum from Saturday 21 November to Thursday 24 December 2026.
Families and school groups can book the underground Toy Mine tour, Story Time with Santa, quieter ALN sessions, and a new Santa’s Family Grotto.
On the Toy Mine tour, visitors follow a guide underground, meet Santa, and each child receives a magic bell to exchange for a gift at the Toy Shop. Festive photos can be pre-purchased or bought on the day. Tours are shared with other guests. Quieter ALN sessions with reduced numbers are available.
Santa’s Family Grotto is new for this season and offers a private visit lasting about 15 minutes. It does not include entry to the full Toy Mine tour. Bookings allow up to four children, with adults unlimited up to a total group size of 20. Anyone needing to bring more than four children is asked to call 01443 682036. When booking, families can share children’s names, favourite toys and other details for a more personal meeting with Santa. Children again receive a magic bell to exchange for a gift, and photo packages are available.
Story Time with Santa includes a Christmas story narrated by a Toy Miner, a meeting with Santa, a magic bell exchanged for a present, and optional photos. It does not include the full Toy Mine tour.
Schools can book weekday tours between 10am and 2pm by calling 01443 682036. Full ticket prices are available on the council’s ticketing link.
