First Time Buyers have snapped up almost all newly released homes at a new Llandudno Junction development – in just 30 minutes.

Beech Developments have been inundated with calls and emails from local families and residents since they released the plots this morning (28.2.19) at Llys Marl. Fourteen of the 18 have been reserved with only four remaining.

Matthew Gilmartin, Managing Director of Beech Developments said:
“The level of demand for good quality homes in Conwy is certainly exemplified in the speed of reservations at Llys Marl. Nearly all the buyers are First Time Buyers and we’ve been pleased to see so many happy faces this morning.”
There are a total of 52 new 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes at the scheme which sits at the junction of A470 and Marl Lane. Llys Marl will also include a number of green spaces, a children’s play area and improved road access.

Work on creating the first homes has started with the employment of local tradesmen and contractors. The third phase release of new homes at Llys Marl is expected in the Summer and all homes at Llys Marl are eligible for Help to Buy-Wales. Prices start from £108,000 with Help to Buy-Wales.

Ryan and Sam McConnell have been renting for the past seven years in Llandudno and have been searching for more than three years for a suitable property.

Retail worker Sam, 27 and Llanrhos-born husband Ryan, have reserved a Chirk property at Llys Marl.

Sam said: “It’s been really hard to try and find somewhere that has everything we need and want without them being out of our price range. When we saw the new build properties it was just brilliant and it was a huge bonus with the Help to Buy (Wales) too. There is no way we would be able to afford a three bed semi-detached house without it.
“We can’t wait to start picking everything we want for it now. There is a bottle of bubbles in the fridge to celebrate with tonight!”

For those unable to secure their plot at Llys Marl, 110 homes will soon to be built at High Pastures, Deganwy, just a short distance away.

Matthew added: “Despite the opposition to our developments in the Marl Ward, the demand is extremely high for new homes here. Many families are living in substandard housing conditions and residents are trapped in the renting cycle like Sam and Ryan, which will continue to happen if we don’t bring new market homes into Conwy. We are very proud that after 24 years as a Welsh developer, we can help to fulfil the growing need for sustainable homes right here in North Wales.”
