Award winning south Wales company Edwards Coaches is pleased to announce it has been named as a finalist in two categories in the inaugural Wales Transport Awards.

The family run business has been shortlisted for ‘Livery of the Year’ and ‘Transport Operator of the Year.’
The former aims to reward liveries that convey a positive image of the transport industry through striking designs whereas the latter category rewards operators with excellent standards across its fleet, customer service and general operations.

Edwards submitted designs for their new local buses as well as their Red Dragon Coach which is famous for transporting the Wales rugby team and often seen across social media and television.

The awards aim to celebrate transport excellence in Wales and finalists were asked to submit reasons why they should win as well as how winning the awards would affect their business. The next stage of the process will involve a presentation in front of a panel of judges.

Managing Director, Jason Edwards FCILT said: “It is always a huge honour to be shortlisted for any award but the Wales Transport Awards are particularly special due to their commitment to the industry. Edwards has been an integral part of the South Wales community for 94 years, ensuring that residents have access to local facilities as well as the opportunity to enjoy their well-deserved holidays. To be nominated in the first ever Wales Transport Awards is as much recognition for our customers’ continued support as it is for us.”
