Craig Hampton-Stone has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Cardiff Bus, taking over from Paul Dyer who retires at the end of September. On September 2nd and 3rd 2023, University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) will sponsor the Volunteer section of Ironman Wales and the ‘Ironkids’ races for young athletes. Ironman Wales, held in Pembrokeshire, west Wales, every September is an annual endurance triathlon involving a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile cycle race and 26.2 mile run around Tenby and south Pembrokeshire. Whilst Welsh Government moves ahead with plans to remove profit from the care of looked-after children, Foster Wales Bridgend highlights the benefits of fostering with a local authority. Wales is in the process of a whole system change for children’s services. The changes proposed in the 2021 co-operation agreement between Welsh Government and Plaid Cymru prioritise services that are locally based, locally designed, and locally accountable. AMBITIOUS plans to provide hundreds more homes for rent in Swansea are helping city families find affordable places to live. In the last year alone Swansea Council added almost 90 homes to its 13,712 stock of affordable homes for rent with hundreds more planned for the years ahead.
